According to sources within the party, the reforms include decentralising decision-making power to county chapters and introducing performance-based criteria for party officials. These changes are being discussed at the highest levels of the party as it prepares for what many describe as a make-or-break election in 2027.

This comes at a time when the opposition is seeking to present a more united front against the ruling administration. Analysts believe that if these reforms are successfully implemented, ODM could emerge as a more disciplined and issue-based political outfit rather than one driven primarily by protest politics. The party has in the past been criticised for lacking clear policy alternatives and depending heavily on mass mobilisation during election periods.
